A yellow alert was issued in the southern part of the state

The maximum effect of the cyclone will be seen on 18 and 19 June. Heavy rain warning has been issued in 6 districts including Mahendragarh in the southern part of Haryana. The maximum impact of the Viparjoy cyclone will be visible in Mahendragarh, Rewari, Palwal, Gurugram, and Faridabad districts. This cyclone will reach southern Haryana via Gujarat and Rajasthan, after which it will enter Madhya Pradesh from here.

It will be beneficial for the farmers who sow paddy

According to the Chandigarh Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain with thunder in the southern areas of the state due to the Viparjoy cyclone and Western Disturbance being active. Manmohan Singh said that this is the best time to sow paddy for the farmers. Although every year there is very less rainfall in the month of June, this time rain can be seen in the month of June as well. Farmers will be greatly benefited from this rain, as they will not need much water to sow paddy.
